Lightweight and versatile, these Mayo dissecting scissors can be used in multiple surgical procedures. Their lightweight provides the veterinarian with greater control and less fatigue. They are available straight or curved in a variety of lengths and configurations. With a micro-serrated blade to hold the tissue in place and a sharp blade to cut through tissue smoothly, the curved model is most commonly utilized for cutting or dissecting dense and thick tissues. Consisting of a standard beveled blade, the straight model is typically used to cutting surface tissue or sutures. These two configurations can be used interchangeably depending on procedure and veterinarian preference.
