9 ressources de formation continue en anesthésie vétérinaire
Dans ce bulletin, j’ai rassemblé une liste de ressources de formation continue en anesthésie (y compris des liens) que je trouve bien conçues, au contenu spécialisé et pertinent pour la pratique clinique. J’espère que cette liste vous aidera à vous y retrouver dans la quantité toujours croissante d’informations disponibles sur l’anesthésie vétérinaire.
Il est parfois difficile de se frayer un chemin parmi toutes les options afin de trouver des informations fiables et pertinentes applicables à la pratique des petits animaux. Nous, cliniciens, avons un temps limité à consacrer à la formation continue en anesthésie, nous devons donc être sélectifs.
Bon nombre des sources énumérées ci-dessous sont basées aux États-Unis. Les praticiens canadiens doivent garder à l’esprit quelques différences entre l’administration de l’anesthésie au nord et au sud du 49e parallèle, car elles se refléteront dans le contenu des cours. En voici quelques exemples :
- L’alfaxalone est une substance plus strictement contrôlée aux États-Unis.
- La méthadone injectable (Comfortan) disponible au Canada coûte environ le quart du prix aux États-Unis.
- Simbadol, une formulation de buprénorphine concentrée (1,8 mg/mL) n’est pas actuellement autorisée au Canada.
- Telazol (tiletamine + zolazepam) n’est pas disponible au Canada.
- Nocita, une formulation de bupivacaïne à action prolongée, encapsulée dans des liposomes, n’est pas disponible au Canada.
